Personal Artwork

Migraine Monster, 2025, Mixed Media, 16x24in
This artwork is a metaphor for chronic migraines. I aimed to experiment with using mixed media and collage to create an artwork.

Extension of the Arm, 2025, graphite, 18x24in
This piece makes fun of the phrase, “think of the (blank) as an extension of your arm,” that is commonly said when learning how to use hand tools and artist supplies. In this case, I made the pencil a literal extension of my arm. To remain on theme, the piece is entirely done in pencil, with an emphasis on the texture of my markmaking.

Memento, 2025,
oil on canvas, 24x36in
This fabric study aimed not just to render contrasting fabrics, but also portray a narrative without the use of the figure. The fabrics on either side of the composition are what my significant other and I wore on our first date, with a green plaid shirt to represent going minigolfing.

Man of Cheese, 2023, pen and ink, 24x18in
This was an experiment of creatively displaying movement in a still drawing. I was inspired by pulling gooey cheese from a fresh slice of pizza, and decided to make a man made out of cheese. I used pen and ink, as it is my preferred drawing medium.

Tommy The Puppet, 2025, paper and cardboard, 24x10x8in
This puppet was an experiment to see if I could create a hand puppet entirely out of paper and paper-like materials. This character, which is frequently in my work, represents my inner self, showcasing my very muppet-like personality. He was used in a short film that I made called “Interview With Your Inner Self,” where we were both interviewed about our life; I gave the polite, vague answers, while he told the reality of life you wouldn’t necessarily tell a stranger.
